Dwarven Forge

One of the projects we kickstarted in May this year arrived in October, and I’ve been preparing (i.e. drybrushing) the set. That’s the really pretty modular 3D dungeon tiles you see below, from Dwarven Forge!

As you can see below, it dry brushes beautifully and easily too! All I did was buy a big brush from Art Friend ($0.70 SGD) so that I could paint all the pieces without aching too much!

The other thing I purchased to do this just for the Dwarven Forge was get cheaper acrylic paint (I’ll save my Citadel and Vallejo paints, thank you!). For this project I used Folk Art paints (brown, gray and white, approx. $3 SGD for 59 ml at Art Friend) and they work well! No tackiness after drying.

I’m also thinking of either placing small bits of flock and/or painting green in areas to represent mossy areas in the dungeon. So exciting!

Something that seems pretty easy to do if you have realistic water is to create slime pools, or pools of blood. Once I get my hands on some realistic water I will see if I can make something to show you.
